Dear anyone on my Substack.

I welcome respectful conversations around differences of opinion, and I acknowledge that not everyone will agree with my take on my own lived experience, or like the guests that I am choosing to interview.

However, I will block people who attack, who use the same language of abuse that took me 28 years to detangle from. We can all get dysregulated at times, but that is not an excuse to abuse - I am not a punching bag.

Today, after releasing this podcast, I was named:

1. An abuser

2. That I was 'vile' and 'revolting' (because of the podcast name) and that "I thought you were a Christian"

3. that... "I keep abuse going," that I am a "carbon copy of the abuse you scream about,"

4. I take "no accountability and all blame" and "carbon copies masquerading as help, same same same only worse"

5. That I am "worse than pastors"

6. That I am a "poor little victim when criticised"

I am none of the above and will not tolerate the language of abuse from anyone.

I will draw the line when someone is accusing me of being “worse” than the pastor and system that harmed me. Cruel. So very cruel.

No matter how triggered you are, it doesn't give you the right to abuse others.

Jaime, I'm so sorry you've had such horrendous reactions. They're totally unwarranted. But you're already bringing out the toxic underbelly of ecclesiastical supporters - and maybe drawing forth some of the toxins many unknowingly carry. I'm sure Jane is feeling this, too 🫂🫂
